Ready for Hillary?
Tuesday, September 21, 2010
Stop Harry Reid's project to create insta-voters.
Big government Democrats are working hard to shove yet another unpopular, unwanted piece of legislation down the throats of taxpayers… this time in the form of the DREAM ACT. The Defense Authorization Bill will be voted on at 2:15 PM Eastern time on Tuesday, September 21.
The DREAM ACT will dramatically push up spending and increase the cost of higher education for every state. The increase is even more extreme for states with large illegal immigrant populations.
The bill forces states to give taxpayer fueled financial aid to illegal immigrants, forces states to allow illegal immigrants to take advantage of in-state tuition, and worst of all, there is virtually no accountability for the funding involved in the bill.
This is yet another outrageous bill pushed forth by Democrats and it must be stopped.

Your first and most important phone calls are to the Senators above.
ACTION:The following list is of Senators who are on the fence. Emphasize the cost issue and that we just cannot afford any more spending when we don’t even have a budget for Fiscal Year 2011 yet!! Also point out that a controversial bill like this has no business being put inside a Defense bill, regardless of how they may feel about the DREAM Act itself.

SENATORS WHO ARE CO-SPONSORING THE DREAM ACT
Once you have done what you can with phone calls to the Senators on the lists above, you should look through this list to see which Senators are focusing more on their ideological pet projects rather than the economy and jobs.
You can reach these through the Switchboard at 202-224-3121 or in our Congress directory (I apologize that this directory is loading sluggishly today).
Give special attention to Boxer, Gillibrand, Lincoln and Mikulski, all of whom are running for re-election in November.
