"Looking Forward: Will Congress Establish Broadband Policy?"

 Tuesday, October 12, 2010 - 12 noon - 2:00 pm
U. S. Capitol Visitor Center - Congressional Meeting Room North

While it appears Congress will not consider legislation to clarify the FCC's authority to regulate broadband Internet service providers before the November election, there is no doubt, with the FCC still threatening to impose common carrier regulation on Internet providers, that broadband legislation remains at the top of the communications policy agenda. Thus, this Free State Foundation lunch seminar could not be more timely. The speakers, representing both the House and the Senate, and both parties, will consider the prospects for legislation for the remainder of this congressional session, and for the future.
We are pleased to have such an outstanding line-up of speakers:

  • Neil Fried, Senior Counsel, House Energy and Commerce Committee

  • David Quinalty, Professional Staff Member, Senate Commerce Committee

  • Daniel Sepulveda, Senior Advisor to Senator John Kerry, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet

  • Bruce Wolpe, Senior Advisor, House Energy and Commerce Committee
A complimentary lunch will be served

  • Register Now! RSVP to Susan Reichbart at
